MOUNT CARROLL, ILLINOIS -- Dr. F.J. Mullin , president of Shimer College, Mount Carroll, Illinois, since 1954, will leave that position on August 31, 1968, it was announced today by C. Mathews Dick, Jr., Chairman of Shimer's Board of Trustees.
Dr. Mullin asked to be relieved of the presidency of Shimer and the trustees agreed to accept his reques, Dick said. He added that a special committee will be formed as soon as possible to seek a new president. Shimer College is a privately supported four-year coeducational liberal arts college, situated in northwestern Illinois. Its enrollment represents 35 states and some foreign countries. Shimer has a group of students studying at St. Clare's Hall, Oxford, England, as part of a year-abroad study program.
