Hermann Hall, designed in 1962 by Walter Netsch for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, echoes Galvin Library with its glass curtain wall and internally supported huge plate girders spanning the roof. The heavy pebble aggregate reinforced concrete support columns inside suggest something of the scale of the clear spans.
