The Gymnasium was a large brick building in the Georgian Revival style on the Mount Carroll campus of Shimer College. It was built in 1929, the last construction project of the McKee administration. It contained a swimming pool with men's locker room on the first floor (partial basement), as well as a theater stage (proscenium) and large exercise room upstairs with a weight room on the balcony over the womens locker room and office.
