our school; Cinda taking charge of the Primary Department & I of the Senior. Cinda has 12 scholars & I 14. We made several calls in the evening or rather after tea; called at Mrs. Otis & Neely's. Our Music scholars have all flated out, just as I expected-
Tues. 24.th Cool, yet pleasant. School is usual. Cinda wrote a note & directed a paper to Mr. Sax of Milwaukie.
Wednesday 25.th Called at P.Office & Haldermans. I bought a chair for my room; called at Wilsons & bought 81/2 yds of nankean colon[.] cambric for curtains to our school room- paid 1 s. per yd. After tea, we went to make our curtains & put them up.
Thursday 26th Pleasant. After tea Mrs. Allison & Miss Miller called on us.Called at Mr. [.]Bartholamews & Mr. Greys.
Friday 27.th Warm & pleasant; the blackboards were put up this morning. I received a letter from Caroline some two weeks ago. Today received one from Isaac. Recvd. a note from
