Thursday 26th. I have given up for the week & stay at home—spent the time preparing maps for my school.

Friday 27th. Day as usual.

Saturday 28th. A snowy day; very tired drawing.

Sabbath 29th. A tremendous windy night, & now a snowy windy day—drifts & no [stiring].

Monday March 1st. So drifted I could not go up to school. Cinda commenced her school today with 24 scholars; I spent the day & evening at Mr. Nimses calling at Mr. Mann's; Cinda spent the evening with me at Mr. Nimses.

Tuesday 2nd. A snowy, cold morning. David carried me up to school; went to Mr. Howard's at night; he is at me again about teaching the school next summer & I finally told him I would take it for five dollars per week.

Wednesday 3d. A delightful day. In the P.M. Mr. Simeon Arnold & lady & M. & D. Nims came to visit me & get me to go home with them. I was quite happy to do so; they expected Cinda to be there but
