October 12th 1854- Wednesday 12th A rainy day. Spent it in putting down carpets in the Seminary rooms No. 1, 2, 3&4- yesterday we cleaned bedsteads which Wm Halderman purchased in Chicago @ $8 apiece- black walnut & sofa- very neat -
