a letter from Isaac. A __very warm__ day.
Tuesday 28th. A warm but quite airy morning. Had a new scholar yesterday in my room too. (Mary Tridel) A pleasant day; shower at noon. After tea we called at Mr. Greys. Mrs. G. offered to pay for the Familiar Science she took for her boy, but we declined taking it, as he did not choose to take any thing for the church.
Wednesday 29th. A delightful. Were invited to Mr. Jesse Rapp's to tea & take wine &c. (accepted.) After we returned home, Mrs. Wilson (the elder) & Helen called, also Emily Seaman & Miss G. Garner who wished us to go home with her on Saturday, but Cinda's eye will not allow us to go. Esqr. Wilson called and spent the evening.
Thursday 30th. A cloudy & cool morning. Received a note from Mrs. Neely relative to Sophia not attending longer than this quarter; called on her at noon &c. After tea we made calls: called at Mr. Grattan's, Mrs. Orcutt's, Mr. Sain's, Mr. Wilson's &c. On returning recvd. an invitation from Mrs. Hostetter to spend the evening with her but did not get it until too late to accept. In the
