Young Uedtnun attended Mt. Carrol Heminary several years and at the outbreak of the rebellion enlisted as priv « ate in the Twelfth Illinois Cavalry, At the close of his term of seryico he was mustered out as captain of hi a company. Removing to Posvesheik County, Iowa, he entered the State Uuiversity, and was graduated from the taw department in 1369. He is now serving his second term in the House.
