MOUNT CARROLL — Forty-six persons were awarded degrees during weekend commencement exercises at Shimer. College. The program was conducted in the Mount Carroll school's Metcalf Hall.

Eight of the graduates received bachelor of science degrees, 38 bachelor of arts degrees.
