Isabel Dearborn Hazzen was the head of the Conservatory of Music at the Mount Carroll Seminary from 1870 to 1896. Dearborn Hall on the Mount Carroll campus was named for her. She left with her husband Henry Hazzen after the 1896 transition to the Academy period, but returned briefly to teach on subsequent occasions.
