Mount Carroll Seminary opened on the 18th, its seventeenth school year. This is an old friend, not only of ourselves, but of many of our readers. It is to be exclusively a ladies' school hereafter, as it was found to be impossible to accommodate the large number that offered under the former arrangement.—We hope to hear that the building has still none too much room. Mrs. F.A.W. Shimer and Miss Gregory are still in charge, and long may they remain so.
