George Cossman Receives Degree At Shimer College

George Cossman, Nelson, received the degree of bachelor of arts in general education upon his graduation from Shimer college at Mt. Carroll at the June convocation recently.

Cossman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Bunnell, Nelson. He was graduated from Dixon high school in 1950, where he was active in school affairs and athletics, and was valedictorian of his class. At Shimer college he constructed and operated the campus radio broadcasting station, was elected student marshal, and served as assistant to the resident head of one of the dormitories. Cossman is plannlng to attend the University of Illinois this fall, where he will prepare for teaching in the field of physical science.
