  • in 1963, the Shimer College Pioneers set the record for the longest losing streak in college basketball, losing game 46 to Black Hawk Junior College 124-54. The previous joint record-holders, which had each lost 45 consecutive games, were Millsaps College (1946) and Olivet College (1961). [1][2]
  • in 1965, the Shimer College Pioneers ended their record-setting losing streak with a 59-58 victory over Roosevelt University.[3]
