Armstrong rear

Armstrong House on the Waukegan campus of Shimer College was a white Greek Revival house at 426 N. Sheridan Road, immediately north of the Hutchins building. It was named for Andrew Armstrong, a deceased member of the faculty.

After its acquisition in the mid-1990s, Armstrong was initially used for student housing. It later served as the campus library and computer lab.

When the college moved to Chicago in 2006, Armstrong became part of the Shimer Historic District.
